Piano Fest , Thursday Nov. 14 / Piano Cannibals, Wednesday November 13, 2019 concerts

Updated: Oct 29, 2019

The Savannah Arts Piano majors are hard at work refining their repertoire pieces and putting the finishing touches on their performance skills. The Fall and winter are especially busy times for students. I am brining in Dr. Geoffrey Haydon a colleague of mine for the Piano Fest Master Piano class. Dr. Haydon and I both studied at the University of Richmond under the tutelage of Dr. Richard Becker. We share a common heritage of piano technique (the Arthur Schnable school of piano pedagogy),

Dr. Haydon the director of keyboard studies at Georgia State University in Atlanta Ga. He’ll share the ways to approach piano literature and how to interpret styles when we meet on Thursday November 14 2019 at Trinity Methodist church in Historic Savannah Ga. I will continue to update in upcoming blogs what the piano department is experiencing.
